Dominic Norman
Capt. Norman began his career with the Fairfield Fire Dept as a reserve firefighter until 1998 when he got hired with DOD fire services, He worked several stations along the west coast, including Vandenberg AFB, Fort Hunter Liggett Army Base, and Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. Capt. Norman was then hired in 2006 with the Woodland Fire Dept. where he gained valuable experience and education. Capt. Norman served on the fire Investigation team, held the role of acting engineer and acting captain. Capt. Norman also served as the safety officer for the dept. where he was responsible for implementing many safety policies and getting a dedicated repeated tactical radio channel. Capt. Norman recieved a couple Red Cross Heroes awards for his life saving actions and going above and beyond his duties. In 2015 Capt. Norman left the fire service and went back into the private sector working in Safety.
After missing the fire service and his children all grown up and out of the house, Capt. Norman decided to get back into turnouts and joined Dunnigan Fire in April 2024 Capt. Norman will provide safety, education, training, guidance and experience to all the new recruits becoming part of the Dunnigan Fire Dept.
